Teaching and Development Circle

I have recently taken over the running of a circle which is based in Quest new age shop and holistic centre in Ewell Village, Surrey.

The circles will run bi-weekly on a Wednesday evening, one hour devoted to each stage; the dates for 2008 are as follows: 13th and 27th August, 10th and 24th September, 8th and 22nd October, 5th and 19th November and 3rd and 17th December.

Intermediate	8 - 9	Aimed at those who understand the basics of chakras, auras, energy and communication with Spirit. Taking the next step on and looking at giving psychic readings for others or developing the link for mediumistic messages.	Ł10	As above.
Advanced	9 - 10	ONLY for Fledgling mediums and those with developed ability who are either ready to or actually demonstrating publicly. NOT aimed at the Trance student.	Ł10	As above.

Workshops are either run as 1 day stand-alone or 2 parts. They will be more focused and will look at a maximum of 2 subjects in any 1 day, for example, focusing on psychic protection and grounding in the morning and clairvoyance, clairaudience and clairsentience in the afternoon. Or in the case of the Tarot: History of the Tarot, connecting and understanding what a reading should achieve on day 1, followed by the actual cards (Major and Minor Arcana) and practice readings on day 2.

Beginners Mediumship Development Workshop

This is a 1-day ‘taster’ session, to enable you understand what a medium is, what is expected of them and to help you to decide if it is the right time for you to take further training or join a circle for development.

To an extent the expression ‘Mediums are born not made’ is correct, as mediumship is an ability that can be latent within you. However, that is not to say that if it is not present at birth, it will not happen for you at all. It is frequently said that after a life-changing incident, illness or near-death experience, one’s mediumship abilities come to the fore. Even those mediums who are aware of Spirit from childhood need to develop their gift, through meditation, training and practical experiences.

This workshop will be broken into two sessions, 10am – 1pm and 1.30 – 4pm. The sessions will be split as follows:

What is a medium and what is a Spiritualist?
Is mediumship in the mind?
Meditation and visualisation exercise
The Mechanics of Mediumship
What is the purpose of sitting in circle?

1.30 – 4pm

What part do Guides play?
How do we receive the information?
Code of Conduct when giving messages
Meditation and blending exercise
Presenting evidence and the ‘Communicator Evidence Reason Tie-up’ formula

It is necessary that you wear comfortable clothing for the workshop as you cannot relax for meditation in tight jeans and restrictive clothing. Please also bring lunch, (although there are shops nearby), tea and coffee will be supplied. Handouts on the days topics are also supplied.

Beginners Psychic Development Workshop

This is a 1-day ‘taster’ session, to enable you understand how to recognise and work with your psychic abilities and decide whether you wish to take development further.

It is a very ‘Western-World’ approach to say that not everyone is psychic. The psychic ability is latent within everyone, how often have you:

Thought of a friend you have not seen for a while and then run into them,
Known who was calling when the telephone rang,
Experienced a feeling of uneasiness just prior to hearing bad news.

These are all examples of the psychic ability and can be expanded on to assist you in today’s world.

This workshop will be broken into two sessions, 10am – 1pm and 1.30 – 4pm. The sessions will be split as follows:

Where are we all in our development?
What is psychic protection and why is it necessary?
Meditation and visualisation
Imagination vs. The Psychic
Chakras and working with energy fields

1.30 – 4pm

Mediation exercise
Guides and Angels?
Clairvoyance and other methods of channelling information
What place does Tarot, the Runes, etc., have
Experimental psychic readings for each other

NOTE: One thing to mention on the development of Mediumship for personal use

I do not consider it possible to develop Mediumship for personal use. For example, I personally could not contact a deceased relative or friend of mine. For this, I still attend Spiritualist churches in the hope of receiving a message, or for more in-depth contact I would have a sitting with another Medium.

That is not to say that you cannot sense a friend or loved one around you. This however, is entirely different to having actual Spirit contact that you can define as not being your own imagination or wishful thinking, and from which you can receive confirmation that life continues after physical death.
